The Police have arrested a 19-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of vandalism.
On 26 May 2018 at about 11.20 am, the Police were alerted to a case where a sticker was pasted on the lens of a police camera at Block 663D Jurong West Street 65. Through ground enquiries and the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division arrested the man within 2 hours from the time of report.
Investigations against the man are ongoing. The offence of vandalism under Section 3 of the Vandalism Act, Chapter 341 carries a punishment of imprisonment of up to three years or fine not exceeding $2,000/-, offenders shall also be liable to caning of not less than three strokes and not more than eight strokes.
