The Police have arrested a 69-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a series of theft along Arumugam Road.

On 24 May 2018 at about 3pm, the Police received a report that a man had stolen money from donation boxes. Through ground enquiries, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him along Upper Boon Keng Road on 30 May 2018. A pair of blue slippers, a jacket, black non-sticky tape, a can of contact adhesive, double-sided tape and scissors were seized as case exhibits.

The man will be charged in court on 31 May 2018 with the offence of theft under Section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 3 years, or with fine, or both.
