The Police have arrested a 21-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 8 July 2018, the Police received a report from a female victim informing that she was molested at the pavement located along Pioneer Road North. Through ground enquiries, and with the aid of images from CCTV and police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 12 July 2018.
The man will be charged in court on 14 July 2018. Anyone convicted for outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 is liable for a jail term of up to 2 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
