The Police are investigating two men, aged 56 and 72, for their suspected involvement in two separate cases of mischief. 

In the first case, on 25 July 2018, the Police received a report that pennants displayed along Clementi street 11 were damaged.

In the second case, on 30 July 2018, the Police received a report that pennants displayed along Clementi West Street 1 were damaged.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of police cameras and CCTVs, officers from Clementi Police Division established the identities of the two men. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man in the first case is also believed to be involved in the theft of 20 flag poles with Singapore flags along Clementi Road.

Investigations against the two men are ongoing. Anyone convicted for under Section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 3 years, or with fine, or with both. Anyone convicted for mischief under Section 426 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 shall be punished with imprisonment term which may extend to one year, or with fine, or with both.
