The Police have arrested a 30-year-old man for his suspected involvement in an obscene act in a public place.
On 22 July 2018 at 12.16 pm, the Police received a report of a couple having sexual intercourse along the pavement of Claymore Drive, outside Orchard Towers.
Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of CCTV footages, officers from Tanglin Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 1 August 2018. Efforts to establish the identity of the woman are still ongoing.
Anyone found guilty of committing an obscene act in public place under Section 294(a) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 3 months, or with fine, or with both.
