The Police have arrested a 31-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 4 August 2018, the Police was alerted to a case where a woman was molested at the vicinity of Jiak Kim Bridge. Officers from Central Police Division followed up on the report swiftly to establish the identity of the suspect and subsequently arrested him on 6 August 2018.
The suspect will be charged in court on 8 August 2018 with outrage of modesty under Section 354A(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, the man is liable for a jail term of not less than 2 years and not more than 10 years and with caning.
