The Police have arrested a 25-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 6 July 2018, the Police received a report from a 16-year-old teenager that she had been molested while on board a bus along Woodlands Road.
Through follow-up investigations and the aid of images from CCTV cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 7 August 2018.
Investigations against the man are ongoing. Anyone convicted for the offence of outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 is liable for a jail term of up to 2 years, or with fine, caning, or with any combination of such punishments, upon conviction.
