The Police have arrested a 52-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 16 August 2018 at 4.44 pm, the Police received a report from a female victim informing that she had been molested by a man on board a bus along Pasir Ris Drive 12. The victim then alerted the bus driver who assisted to detain the man. He was subsequently arrested when police officers arrived.
The suspect will be charged in court on 18 August 2018 with outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 2 years, or with caning, or with combination of such punishments.
