The Police have arrested two teenagers, aged between 14 and 15, for their suspected involvement in a case of shop theft at Causeway Point Shopping Centre.
On 4 August 2018 at 5.36pm, the Police were alerted to a case of shop theft at Causeway Point Shopping Centre. Through ground enquiries, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identities of the teenagers and subsequently arrested them on the same day. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects are believed to be involved in several other similar cases.
Investigations against the teenagers are ongoing. Anyone convicted for theft in dwelling under Section 380 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 can be jailed up to 7 years and fined.
