The Police have arrested twenty-five women, aged between 21 and 36, during a series of enforcement operations against public entertainment outlets along Jalan Sultan and North Bridge Road on 19 and 20 September 2018.
Three outlets were found to have contravened licensing conditions. Twenty-five women were arrested for employment related offences. Two of the women were also arrested for immigration related offences.
Actions will be taken against the operators for flouting the rules and regulations under the Public Entertainment Act. The Police takes a serious view of anyone found breaking the law and will continue to take tough enforcement stance against such activities.
