The Police have arrested a 22-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of shop theft.
On 14 October 2018 at 8.02 pm, the Police received a report that an item was stolen from a retail outlet at Causeway Point Shopping Centre.
Through ground enquiries and with the aid of CCTV images, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 15 October 2018. Three bottles of perfume, believed to have been stolen from the retail outlet, amounting to $407 were recovered from him.
Anyone convicted of theft in dwelling under Section 380 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 can be jailed up to 7 years and fined.
