The Police have arrested twelve women, aged between 25 and 57, in a two-day enforcement operation against massage establishments and liquor outlets along Serangoon Road, Veerasamy Road, Dunlop Street and Maude Road on 28 and 29 October 2018.
During the operation conducted by Central Police Division, two massage establishments were detected to be operating as unlicensed massage establishments. Twelve women were arrested for offences under the Women’s Charter and Employment of Foreign Manpower Act.
During the enforcement checks on liquor outlets, one outlet was found to have contravened licensing conditions.
Actions will be taken against the operators for flouting the rules and regulations under the Massage Establishment Act 2017 and Liquor Control (Supply and Consumption) Act 2015. The Police takes a serious view of anyone found breaking the law and will continue to take tough enforcement action against such activities
