A Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) officer, Captain (CPT) Tan Baoshu, aged 30, will be charged in Court today in relation to the death of an SAF full-time National Serviceman, Corporal First Class Dave Lee, on 30 April 2018.
CPT Tan will be charged with rash act causing death under section 304A(a) of the Penal Code.
Anyone who is convicted of an offence of rash act causing death shall be liable for imprisonment of up to five years, or a fine, or both.
The Singapore Police Force has referred six other SAF servicemen who were involved in the incident to the Ministry of Defence for investigations.
