The Police have arrested a 27-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of attempted theft from an automated teller machine (ATM).

On 8 November 2018, the Police were alerted to a case where an ATM located at Blk 64 Yung Kuang Road had been tampered with. Through ground enquiries, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him on 15 November 2018.

The man will be charged in court on 17 November 2018 with attempted theft under Section 379 read with Section 511 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he faces a jail term which may extend to 3 years or with fine, or with both.
