The Police have arrested seven women, aged between 21 and 31, in a two-day enforcement operation against massage establishments and public entertainment outlets along Dunlop Street and Beach Road on 28 and 29 November 2018.
During the enforcement operation conducted by Central Police Division, three unlicensed massage establishments were detected. A 31-year-old woman was arrested for offences under the Women’s Charter.
During the enforcement checks on public entertainment outlets, two outlets were found to have contravened licensing conditions. Six women, aged between 21 and 30, were arrested for offences under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act.
Investigations are ongoing.
Actions will be taken against the operators for flouting the rules and regulations under the Public Entertainment Act and Massage Establishment Act. The Police takes a serious view of anyone found breaking the law and will continue to take tough enforcement action against such activities.
