The Police have arrested a 16-year-old teenager for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 29 November 2018 at about 7.30pm, the Police were alerted to a case where a woman was molested inside a lift of a HDB block along Potong Pasir Avenue 1.
Through follow-up investigations, officers from Tanglin Police Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him along Potong Pasir Avenue 2 within 24hours from the time report was lodged.
Investigations are ongoing. Anyone convicted for the offence of outrage of modesty under Section 354A(2)(a) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term of not less than 3 years, and not more than 10 years and with caning.
