The Police have arrested nineteen women and one man, aged between 20 and 34, during a two-day enforcement operation against public entertainment outlets along New Bridge Road and Raffles Boulevard on 13 and 14 December 2018.
During the enforcement checks conducted by Central Police Division, one outlet was found to have contravened public entertainment licensing conditions. Nineteen women and one man were arrested for offences under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act and Immigration Act.
Actions will be taken against the operators for flouting the rules and regulations under the Public Entertainment Act. The Police takes a serious view of anyone found breaking the law and will continue to take tough enforcement action against such activities.
