The Police have arrested a 23-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of theft-in-dwelling.  

On 15 December 2018 at 4.45pm, the Police were alerted to a case of theft of jewellery with an estimated value of S$35,000/- from a shop located at Block 624 Choa Chu Kang Street 62. 

Through investigations and information received from a member of the public, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 17 December 2018.

The man will be charged in court on 19 December 2018 with theft-in-dwelling under Section 380 Chapter 224. If convicted, he faces an imprisonment term which may extend to 7 years and shall also be liable to a fine. 

Deputy Commander of Jurong Police Division, Deputy Assistant Commissioner of Police Julius Lim, said, “This case illustrates the close partnership between the Police and the community in fighting crime. When the Police and the community pull together as one, we can make our neighbourhoods a safer place to live, work and play.”
