The Police have arrested two men, aged 27 and 34, for their suspected involvement in two separate cases of obscene acts.

In the first case, on 14 January 2019, the Police received a report of a man exposing himself to three female victims along Yishun Street 81. Officers from Woodlands Police Division conducted extensive ground inquiries to establish the identity of the 34-year-old man and arrested him on 21 January 2019. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is believed to be involved in several other similar cases.

In the second case, on 20 January 2019, the Police received a report of a man performing an obscene act in front of a woman at Blk 8 Upper Boon Keng Road. Officers from Bedok Police Division conducted extensive enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras, the identity of the 27-year-old man was established. He was subsequently arrested along Upper Boon Keng Road on 21 January 2019. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is also believed to be involved in several other similar cases.

Both men will be charged in court on 23 January 2019 with the offence of committing an obscene act in a public place, under Section 294(a) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which is punishable with an imprisonment for a term which may extend to 3 months, or with fine, or with both.
