The Police have arrested a 62-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of mischief by fire.
On 25 January 2019 at 11:05 pm, the Police received a report of a fire at the central rubbish chute at Block 508 Woodlands Drive 14. Through ground enquiries and with the aid of footages from police cameras, officers from Woodlands Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 30 January 2019.
The suspect will be charged in court on 1 February 2019. Anyone convicted for mischief by fire under Section 435, Chapter 224, of the Penal Code is liable for an imprisonment term of up to 7 years, and shall also be liable to a fine.
