Twenty-Two Arrested In Enforcement Operations Against Public Entertainment Outlets

The Police have arrested 22 women, aged between 20 to 33, in a series of enforcement operations against public entertainment outlets along South Bridge Road, Sam Leong Road and Beach Road on 20 and 21 March 2019.

During the enforcement checks conducted by the Central Police Division, three outlets were found to have contravened public entertainment licensing conditions. All the 22 women were arrested for working without valid work permits under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act.

Investigations are ongoing.

Actions will be taken against the operators for flouting the rules and regulations under the Public Entertainment Act. The Police takes a serious view of anyone involved in criminal activities and will continue to take tough enforcement action against those found breaking the law.
