The Police have arrested eight men, aged between 18 and 24, for their suspected involvement in a fight along Cuscaden Road.

On 2 April 2019 at about 5.50 am, the Police were alerted to a fight outside a club along Cuscaden Road. Upon arrival, two men, aged 24 and 26, were found with injuries and were conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Both victims have since been discharged from the hospital.

Through investigation and extensive enquiries, officers from the Criminal Investigation Department, Police Intelligence Department and Tanglin Police Division established the identities of the eight men and arrested them within 24 hours.

Four of the men, aged between 18 and 21, will be charged in court on 4 April 2019 with voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapon under Section 326 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, they shall be punished with imprisonment for life, or with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 15 years, and shall also be liable to fine, or to caning. Investigations against the remaining men are still ongoing.

The Police are committed to keep Singapore safe, and we will spare no effort to ensure that offenders are brought to justice and face the full brunt of the law.
