The Police have arrested a 22-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of armed robbery along Teck Whye Crescent.

On 4 April 2019 at about 4.50pm, the Police received a report that three 13-year-old boys were robbed of their money on 26 March 2019 at about 3.25pm by a man armed with a knife along Teck Whye Crescent.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on the same day the report was lodged. 

The man will be charged in court on 6 April 2019 with armed robbery under Section 392 read with Section 397 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, the man is liable to an imprisonment term of not less than 2 years and not more than 10 years and shall also be punished with not less than 12 strokes of the cane.
