The Police have arrested a 36-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of housebreaking and theft by day.
On 4 May 2019 at about 12.15pm, the Police were alerted to case of housebreaking which occurred at Blk 986B Jurong West Street 93. Cash amounting to about S$700 and a handbag were reported missing.
Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division and the Police Transport Security Command established the identity of the man and subsequently arrested him on 5 May 2019.
The man will be charged in court on 7 May 2019 with housebreaking and theft by day under Section 454 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries a maximum imprisonment term of 10 years.
