The Police have arrested two 28-year-old men for their suspected involvement in a series of theft from motor vehicles. 

On 7 May 2019 at about 8.10 am, the Police received a report informing that two men were trying to steal a cashcard from a van along Lorong 10 Geylang.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identities of the two men and arrested them within two hours. Preliminary investigations revealed that both men are suspected to be involved in similar cases that occurred in the vicinity.

Both men will be charged in court on 9 May 2019 with theft from motor vehicle with common intention under Section 379 read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. Anyone convicted for theft from motor vehicle shall be liable to an imprisonment term of up to 3 years and shall also be liable to a fine, or with both.
