The Police have arrested a 64-year-old woman for her suspected involvement in a case of theft from a person.
On 2 May 2019 at about 3.00pm, the Police received a report that a woman had taken away some cash from a blind woman at an underpass near Yishun MRT station. Through ground enquiries, officers from Woodlands Police Division established the identity of the woman and arrested her in the vicinity of Woodlands Street 12 on 8 May 2019. Investigations are ongoing.
Anyone convicted for theft may be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 3 years, or with fine, or with both.
