The Police Day Parade (PDP) 2019 was held on 3 June 2019 at the Home Team Academy.  The Parade Commander is Assistant Commissioner of Police Shee Tek Tze and a total of 714 police officers as well as cadets from National Police Cadet Corps participated in PDP.

 

Award Presentation

Guest of Honour (GOH), Mr. K. Shanmugam, Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Law presented awards for the Best Land Division as well as Best National Service (NS) Operationally Ready Unit. GOH also presented awards to the best Police National Service Full-Time (PNSF) officers and Police National Servicemen (PNSmen).

 

Best Land Division Competition 

 

Clementi Police Division is the best Land Division. Commander of Clementi Police Division, Assistant Commissioner of Police Jarrod Pereira dedicates the win to his officers and said: “The award is testament to the hard work, commitment and dedication of all staff in Clementi Division, including Regulars, Civilians, Police National Servicemen and Volunteer Special Constabulary Officers! It is also the result of the strong partnership and collaboration we have with community, grassroots organisations, and various business and industry partners. This will spur the Division to continue to seek out areas to improve, so that we can serve the community better.”

 

Best NS Operationally Ready Unit Competition

Jurong Police Division is the best NS Operationally Ready Unit. NS Commander of Jurong Police Division, Deputy Assistant Commissioner of Police (NS) Teo Chai Jing paid tribute to the strong camaraderie and bonds amongst the NSmen and said: “The regulars and PNS have worked together seamlessly and worked hard to achieve this significant milestone. We will continue to put in our best efforts to ensure a safe and secure Singapore”.

 

PNSF Officers & PNSmen of The Year Award

Five PNSF officers and five PNSmen were recognised for their exemplary performances at PDP.

 

PNSF Officers

 

  • National Service Inspector Lee Kahhe, from Tanglin Police Division; 

  • Special Constable Sergeant Abdul LateefKamal Bin Mohamed Musttakim, from Special Operations Command;

  • Special Constable Sergeant Muhammad Siddiq Bin Rosli, from Training Command;

  • Special Constable Corporal Lee Chan Hon, from Police National Service Department; and

  • Special Constable Wong Yew Kit, from Public Affairs Department.

 

 

PNSmen

 

  • Superintendent of Police (NS) Mohamed Khaliq Bin Mohamed Ridwan, from Police Coast Guard;

  • Deputy Superintendent of Police (NS) Vincent Leow, from Tanglin Police Division;

  • Assistant Superintendent of Police (NS) Sun Wenbin, from Jurong Police Division;

  • Senior Staff Sergeant (NS) Choong Xianwei Jonathan, from Tanglin Police Division; and

  • Sergeant (NS) Muhammad Fadzlee Bin Oslan, from Bedok Police Division.

 

Post-Parade Segment

The post-parade segment showcased performances by the SPF Combined Band and the marching contingents.  The grand finale saw the parade participants coming together to form the number ‘199’, signifying 199 years of policing in Singapore.
