The Police received a call requesting for assistance at Block 163B Rivervale Crescent on 16 June 2019 at 10.24pm. Upon arrival, the Police found a two-year-old child lying motionless in the bedroom of a unit at the said location. A 34-year-old man was also found injured inside the said bedroom. Both were conveyed to Sengkang General Hospital and the child was pronounced dead on 17 June 2019 at 12.28am.
Police have classified the case as murder. The man, who is the father of the child, has been arrested. He will be charged in court on 18 June 2019.
Police investigations are ongoing.
