The Police have arrested a 23-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty along 1 Harbourfront Walk.
On 14 June 2019 at about 12.10 am, the Police received a report from a 18-year-old male victim informing that he had been molested by an unknown man in a cinema.
Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from CCTV cameras, officers from Clementi Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 26 June 2019.
Investigations are ongoing. Anyone convicted for the offence of outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
