The Police have arrested a 31-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of theft.
On 26 July 2019 at about 2.15 pm, the Police were alerted to a case of theft of bird along Tampines Street 41.
Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 31 July 2019. Preliminary investigations revealed that he is believed to be involved in a separate case of theft of motorcycle. Both the stolen bird and motorcycle were recovered.
The man will be charged in court on 1 August 2019 for theft of vehicle under Section 379A of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, shall be shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 7 years, and shall also be liable to fine.
