The Police have arrested a 18-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of armed robbery.

On 4 August 2019 at about 1.30am, the Police received a report that an unknown man had robbed a cashier using a knife along Fernvale Lane. Six packets of cigarettes and a packet of burger were taken from the shop.  

Through investigations and ground enquiries, officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him within 4 hours of the report.

The man will be charged in court on 5 August 2019 with armed robbery under Section 392 read with Section 397 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries a maximum of 14 years imprisonment and caning of not less than 12 strokes.
