The Police have arrested a 25-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of mischief by fire.

On 4 August 2019 at about 12.40pm, the Police were alerted to a case of State flags found burnt at Block 774 Woodlands Crescent. Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from CCTVs, officers from Woodlands Police Division established the identity of the man involved and arrested him on 7 August 2019. The man is believed to be involved in other similar cases in Woodlands.

The man will be charged in court on 8 August 2019 with mischief by fire under Section 435 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. Anyone convicted for mischief by fire is liable to a jail term which may extend to 7 years and shall be liable to fine.
