The Police have arrested a 68-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 11 August 2019 at about 6pm, a 55-year-old woman reported that she had been molested by an unknown man at a shopping mall along Bukit Batok Central.
Through ground enquiries and with the aid of footages obtained from the police and nearby CCTV cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man, and arrested him on the same day.
The man will be charged in court with outrage of modesty on 14 August 2019. Anyone convicted for the offence of outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
