The Police have arrested a 47-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of rash act.  

On 21 August 2019, the Police received a report that two beer bottles were thrown at one of the stalls located in Serangoon Garden Market.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 22 August 2019 along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 9.

The man will be charged in court on 26 August 2019 for an offence of rash act under Section 336(a) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. Anyone convicted for rash act under Section 336(a) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 6 months, or with fine which may extend to $2,500, or with both.
