The Police have arrested a 47-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of causing death by rash act on 28 August 2019.
On 18 August 2019 at about 8.40pm, the Police were alerted to a case at 18 Spottiswoode Park Road where a 73-year-old man was hit on the head by a bottle which fell from a high-rise residential building. The 73-year-old man was conveyed unconscious to Singapore General Hospital where he subsequently succumbed to his head injuries on 19 August 2019.
The man will be charged in court on 30 August 2019 for causing death by rash act under Section 304A of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, the man may be punished with an imprisonment term of up to 5 years, or with fine, or with both.
