Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 19 November 2019 along Jelapang Road. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is also believed to be involved in other cases of theft of bicycles.

The man will be charged in court on 20 November 2019 for theft, which is punishable under Section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. The offence carries a jail term of up to 3 years, or a fine, or both.
