The Police have arrested a 19-year-old teenager for his suspected involvement in a case of rash act causing hurt.

On 29 March 2018 at about 11am, the Police received a report that the victim, a 12-year-old boy, had been knocked down by an e-scooter at a basketball court near Block 838 Yishun Street 81. The victim suffered bruising and abrasion on his right cheek and bleeding around the upper right first primary molar tooth. He had received immediate medical attention thereafter.  Through investigations, officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division identified the teenager.

The teenager will be charged in court with rash act causing hurt on 27 November 2019. The offence, punishable under Section 337(a) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, carries a jail term up to 1 year, or with fine which may extend to $5,000, or with both.
