The Police have arrested two men, aged 43 and 36, for their suspected involvement in a case of rash act.
On 28 November 2019, the Police received a report of a traffic incident along Enggor Street between a car and a personal mobility device (PMD). The driver and PMD rider argued and acted aggressively to each other before parting ways.
Officers from the Central Police Division arrested the 43-year-old driver and the 36-year-old PMD rider on 30 November 2019 and 1 December 2019 respectively. Anyone convicted for the offence of rash act under section 336(a) of the Penal Code could be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 6 months, or a fine of up to $2500, or both
The Police would like to remind every road user to observe proper traffic rules and not to take the law into their own hands. Anyone with information regarding an alleged traffic violation can lodge a report at the nearest neighbourhood police centre or provide the information to the Traffic Police Department via our the online “Feedback on Road Users” portal – https://eservices1.police.gov.sg/phub/eservices/landingpage/feedback-on-road-users.
