The Police have arrested five men, aged between 21 and 47, for their suspected involvement in a case of affray.
On 4 December 2019 at about 11.40pm, the Police were alerted to a fight along Lorong 1 Geylang. Through investigations and ground enquiries, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identities of the men and arrested them within four hours of the report. Preliminary investigations revealed that the men had a prior dispute while at a restaurant located in the vicinity earlier that night.
Police investigations are ongoing. The offence of affray carries a jail term of up to a 1 year, a fine of up to $5000, or both.
