The Police have arrested two men, aged 31 and 34, for their suspected involvement in a case of theft.
On 24 March 2020 at 1.43am, the Police were alerted to a case of theft along Clementi West St 2. Cash amounting to about $5,000 were reportedly stolen from coin exchange machines situated in the vicinity.
Through investigations and with the aid of images from CCTV, officers from Clementi Police Division established the identities of the men and arrested them on 31 March 2020.
They will be charged in court on 2 April 2020 with theft with common intention under Section 379 read with Section 34 of the Penal Code. The offence carries an imprisonment term which may extend to 3 years, and a fine.
