The Police have arrested a 36-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of housebreaking and theft.
On 30 January 2020 at 10.58am, the Police were alerted to a case of housebreaking which occurred in a shop located in Westgate Shopping Mall. Cash amounting to more than $3600 was discovered to be stolen.
Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from CCTV, officers from Clementi Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on the same day.
The man will be charged in court on 1 February 2020 with housebreaking and theft under Section 451 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries an imprisonment term which may extend to 10 years, and a fine.
