The Police have arrested two men, aged 29 and 34, for their suspected involvement in a case of rioting.
On 27 January 2020 at about 3.10am, the Police were alerted to a case of rioting along River Valley Road.
Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from CCTV cameras, officers from Tanglin Police Division established the identities of the two men and arrested them on 30 January 2020.
The duo will be charged in court on 1 February 2020 with rioting under Section 147 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. Anyone convicted for the offence of rioting shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 7 years and shall also be liable to caning.
