The Police have arrested a 16-year-old male for his suspected involvement for a series cases of theft in dwelling.
On 2 February 2020 at about 10.10am, the Police were alerted to a case of theft in dwelling at 17 Tannery Road. The victim reported that his phone was stolen while he was asleep. Police subsequently received three other reports of theft in dwelling near the location of the first case. Following investigations with the aid of CCTV images, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 6 February 2020.
The suspect is believed to be involved in the four cases. Police investigations are ongoing.
The offence of theft in dwelling carries an imprisonment term which may extend to 7 years and a fine.
