The Police have arrested a 18-year-old male teenager for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 16 March 2020 at about 6am, the Police were alerted to a case where two female victims were molested along Tampines Ave 9. Through ground enquiries, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the male teenager and arrested him on the same day.
The male teenager will be charged in court on 17 March 2020 with outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. The offence of outrage of modesty carries an imprisonment term which may extend to 2 years, or a fine, or caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
