The Police have arrested six male teenagers, aged between 16 and 18, for their suspected involvement in a case of rioting.
On 12 March 2020 at about 7.55pm, the Police were alerted to a fight involving a group of teenagers along Jurong West Central 2.
Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from the CCTVs and police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identities of the six male teenagers and arrested them on 16 March 2020 at various locations in Singapore.
The six male teenagers will be charged in court on 19 March 2020 with rioting, under Section 147 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. The offence carries an imprisonment term which may extend to seven years and shall also be liable to caning.
