The Police have arrested a 33-year-old woman for her suspected involvement in two cases of shop theft.
On 8 and 18 May 2020, the Police received reports that items, such as cosmetic and toiletries, valued more than $600, were stolen from a retail shop at Bedok Mall.
Through ground enquiries and with the aid of CCTV images, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the woman and arrested her on 21 May 2020.
Investigations are ongoing. The offence of theft in dwelling under Section 380 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 carries an imprisonment term of up to 7 years and a fine.
