The Police have arrested a 45-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 20 June 2020, the Police received a report that a 68-year-old female victim had been molested by an unknown man along Mei Ling Street on 19 June 2020.
Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Clementi Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 20 June 2020.
The man will be charged in court on 22 Jun 2020 with outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code. The offence carries a jail term of up to 2 years, a fine, caning, or any combination of such punishments.
