On 21 June 2020, the Police arrested two Singaporean men, who are both 22 years old, for their suspected involvement in a case of affray that occurred at 21 Lorong Mambong on 19 June 2020 at about 10.50pm.

A drunk 26-year-old Singaporean man was earlier arrested on 19 June 2020 for causing annoyance to the public under the Liquor Control (Supply and Consumption) Act at the same location. The man will also be investigated for affray. The three men are known to one another and had been dining in restaurants at the location.

Police investigations are ongoing. The three men will also be investigated for possible breaches of safe distancing measures under the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020.

The offence of affray under Section 267A of the Penal Code carries a jail term of up to one year, a fine of up to $5000, or both. The offence of causing annoyance to the public when drunk under Section 14(2)(b) of the Liquor Control (Supply and Consumption) Act, carries a fine of up to $1000, a jail term of up to six months, or both.
