    Man Arrested For Outrage Of Modesty

    The Police have arrested a 38-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.

    On 7 July 2020, the police received a report that a 24-year-old female victim had allegedly been molested by an unknown man along Choa Chu Kang Avenue 4 on the same day. 

    Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from CCTV cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 21 July 2020.

    The man will be charged in court on 22 July 2020 with outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code. The offence carries a jail term of up to 2 years, a fine, caning, or any combination of such punishments.
