The Police have arrested two men, aged 22 and 32, for their suspected involvement in three separate cases of outrage of modesty.
In the first case, on 24 January 2021, the Police received a report from a victim informing that she was molested by a man along Geylang Road. Through investigations and with the aid of images from CCTV and police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 29 January 2021.
In the second and third case, on 28 and 29 January 2021, the Police received reports from two victims informing that they had been molested by a man at Forest Canopy Boardwalk at One-North Park Fusionopolis South. Through investigations and with the aid of images from CCTV, officers from Clementi Police Division, with the support of officers from Public Transport Security Command and Police Operations Command Centre, established the identity of the man and arrested him on 29 January 2021.
Both men will be charged in court with outrage of modesty on 30 January 2021. The offence of outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 carries an imprisonment term of up to two years, or a fine, or caning, or any combination of such punishments.
